Mangalore: Two “Rowdy” sheeters(Criminals)were hacked to death on Friday afternoon, near Shiva Nagar Devi Temple at Moodushedde, within Kavoor Police limits.

Murugesh and Upendra were accused in “Vamanjoor Rohi” murder case in July, 2009 for Killing Rohidas Shetty then. Police said the duo were hacked by a long knife to death here, by two others in a gang.

The deceased were brothers-in-law, both 32, and driving auto rickshaws in city. Murugesh had a shop also to run a business.

Police promised to catch the 2 criminals in 24 hours. An old lady was an eye-witness of Murugesh being murdered, and she screamed in agony. CPC Seemanth K. Singh and DCP Muthuraya arrived on the scene, with a dog squad.

Police said they had a clue and arrested an auto-rickshaw driver with a vehicle, by which killers had escaped.
