Mangalore : A total budget of Rs one crore was placed for approval  for the Paryaya Festival of 2014 at a meeting held at the Kaniyoor Mutt here on June 21, Friday.

Sri Vidya Vallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kaniyoor Mutt,  the next Paryaya seer  was also present.The budget was presented by Ramesh Rao Beedu.

The budtget has earmarked Rs 30 lakh for the stage setting, lighting and other facilities, Rs 20 lakh for procession, Rs 2.5 lakh for Paryaya Durbar, Rs 2.25 lakhs for cultural programmes.

 The Paryaya Reception Committee offce will be  opened on June 29, it was informed at the meeting, Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj was among others present on the occasion.
