Mangaluru : The 26th year of Hindu Yuva Sene Ganeshotsava at ‘Chatrapathi Shivaji Mantap’ in Nehru Maidan, concludes in seventh day with a grand procession giving an end to the Mangalore Ganeshotsava celebration on September 19 Tuesday.
Thousands of people thronged to Nehru Maidan in seven days from various parts of the district and other places. Various programmes and Vaidik rituals organised in seven days celebrations.
The main attraction of the event was the eye-catching display of fire crackers prior to the start of the procession.
Hindu Yuvasene GaneshotsavaThe procession commenced from the Nehru Maidan and passed through A B Shetty circle, clock tower, Hampankatta, K S Rao Road, Navabharat circle, Dongerkery, New Chitra junction, Balaji and Car Street and culminated at Mahamayi Temple lake after the immersion of huge Ganesha idol.
The idol of Lord Ganesh was placed in the decorated truck, accompanied with various tableaux depicting religious episodes, Traditional artistes and drummers.
Ganeshotsava Samithi president Shashukanth Nagwekar and others were present.
