Manipal : There are reports that Udupi police have arrested three persons in connection with the gang rape of a medical student of Manipal University. Reportedly the persons were arrested from Athrady and Hiriyadka.

Already eight police teams led by Udupi SP Boralingaiah have been formed to nab the culprits.IGP Western Range visited the spot of the incident and said investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, it is learnt the victim has been moved out of the ICU and shifted to the ward. A oman police officer is always present along with the medical team  to gather information from the victim if possible. It is learnt she has undergone a minor surgery on her left foot and her condition is said to be stable.
