Mangalore : Three bike riders lost their lives and three others sustained serious injuries in three road accidents reported from Mangalore, Subrahmanya and Kundapur on January 6, Sunday.

In an accident reported from near AJ Hospital at Kuntikan in Mangalor, a bike  rider Karunaker (35) of Kodikal lost his life while pillion rider Sandeep was critically injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a keep  from behind. The two were on way to Kodikal when the mishap took place.

In a  mishap reported from Kashikatte in Subrahmanya, a bike rider Theerthananda (40) died  when the vehicle was hit by a pick-up lorry. Chandrashekhar, the pillion rider sustained injuries. In the third mishap reported from Kundapur, a head-on collision between a bike and  a truck at Kalarava  claimed the life of the bike rider Umesh. Pillion rider Raghavednra was injured in this accident.
