Bangalore: Ms.Kiran Mazumdar Shaw informed pressmen here today that the Govt. desired to boost bio-technology and would establish 3 Parks and 12 finishing schools dealing in Bio-technology in a short time. She addressed a one-day workshop on Millanium Bio-tech policy 2. The Biocon chief stated that many of the graduate were not at the employable level on completing studies. Thus finishing schools were needed to make them employable at large, with skills developed in full, she said.
For the infrastructure development in each such technical school, the state would invest Rs. One crore soon. A Public-Private partnership would be established. They would run the skills schools as per their need and contribute to the performances, she added.
Ms.Shaw informed the media that there was a huge demand for skills among companies for graduates who are keen to learn BT.
