Udupi: A 3-day celebration of birth centenary of renowned drawing and painting celebrity, Dr.K.K.Hebbar, ranked next to M.F.Hussain in India, was inaugurated at local Ravindra Kala Mantap at MGM College on Sept.16, Friday here.
The show is jointly organised by state Kannada and Culture dept., and the district administration, aegis of a committee to hold shows in memory of Dr.K.Krishna Hebbar.
A.G. Kodagi, economist inaugurated the activities. Speaking on the occasion, Kodagi said Karnataka was a confluence of cultures. Many veterans distinguished as achievers in arts and other fields in DK-Udupi region. He urged the competitions of K.K’s cartoons and other works for posterity, to leave a message.
Peter Lewis opened the K.K.Hebbar cartoon show. He said art had its own language of expression. The show is open till Sept.18.
