Mangalore : A 3 day teacher’s convention started in St. Aloysius PU College at Loyola Hall, from Nov.30 to Dec.2. Teachers from several colleges on the west coast attended the convention in large numbers. Speaking to them after inaugurating the Convention Union Minister Oscar Fernandes told that  education was essential  to every child before he or she  could enter public life in later years.

Yesterdays education defers from today and  present education will changed by future education in the Indian Systems. In such circumstances, education is a must for everyone at the young age, he added.

J R Lobo MLA, Prof. Tarun Kumar Patra, Dr. A.M.Narahari, Ganesh Karnik MLC,Dr. Denzil Lobo, Rector of SAC and many others were present. Teachers from 10 states numbering about 1000 attended the convention.
