Mangalore: Three persons including a woman sustained injuries in a collision between a lorry and a bus at Kuntikan on August 3, Friday. The mishap took place near the fire service station at Kuntikan when the lorry laden with iron roads was taking a U-turn only to be hit by the speeding bus.

The bus was proceeding towards Katipalla from Someshwara and  over speeding by the bus driver is said to be the cause of the accident.

It is being said that the U turn being taken by the lorry in the extremely busy road was very dangerous. Though there were barricades there earlier, the same were removed to facilitate movement of ambulances and emergency vehicles to the AJ Hospital. At the same time, it proved beneficial to other vehicles who take the U-turn though it is quite dangerous.
