Kasargod : Three children met a tragic end in two incidents reported  recently.

In the first incident Prajit (9) and Srijith (6), children of Omana and Nagaraj of Cheramangala who were playing at home, got themselves accidentally locked up in a wooden cupbpard and died on April 8, Monday evening. The incident took place when the father was out on business and the mother too was out on some work.

Though the grandmother Chellamma used to be otherwise at home, on that fateful  day even she had been to a relative’s house. It is learnt, the children while playing went inside a cupboard the doors of which got shut and the children unable to open the doors.

The incident came to light when the mother returned in the night and opened the doors of the cupboard. Though the kids were rushed to the hospital, the efforts to save them went in vain.

In yet another incident, Sudeep (9) met a tragic end when the swing made out of a saree got tightened around his neck while playing. Sudeep was the son of Ramakrishna and Sarita couple from Bekur colony.  The boy was  a class three student of government school at Bekur. Though Sudeep‘s brother Sunil was at home, he was deaf and dumb and was watching TV in another room and unaware of the incident.
