Puttur: Three persons were killed on the spot and one sustained grievous injuries in a truck-car collision at Nelyadi on Monday, July 1.

The deceased have been identified as Sattar, Thomson and Sairath. Janardhana is the injured person.

It is gathered that the Mahindra Bolero vehicle moving towards Uppinangady from Nelyadi collided into the Bengaluru-bound truck near Bethany School here.

The car has been completely damaged owing to the impact of the collision.

Nelyadi and Uppinangady police are investigating.
