Udupi :  The Eicher tempo carrying pandal equipment  turned turtle at Chaundi village and killing three persons  on the spot and nine others sustained injuries Udupi district on Sunday April 29.

The truck was carrying pandal equipment meant for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Udupi on Tuesday.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle might have dozed off at the wheels and hit an electricity pole after which the truck turned turtle.

The deceased have been identified as Murthy of Chitradurga, Samuel Pegu and Menpro Pegu, both from Assam. The injured are being treated at KMC hospital in Manipal. The Heeriyadka police have registered a case.
