Bhatkal : Three persons from Kundapur including a couple met a tragic end when their car rammed against a tree at Bengare near Murdeshwar on January 13, Sunday afternoon. The three were on way to Kundapur when the mishap took place.

The deceased are Keerthi Shetty driver), Santosh Shetty (45) and his wife Shakeela (35). All the three hailed from Gulvady in Kundapur.

The impact of the collision was such that all the three died on spot. According to Chandra Shetty, the brother of the deceased Santosh, the family had a hotel in Bijapur.

Murdeshwar police have registered a case.
