Mangalore: 3 robbers of a gang  indulging in robbing women in several districts in and out of coastal region during the past few years were caught by Dinakar Shetty (IP) and his band of gallant police officials guided by CPC R. Hitendra, IPS and his deputy Dr. K V Jagadish and other senior police officers who lent hand in laying a trap for the accused who had amassed about Rs. 15,00,000 worth of golden ornaments. This was disclosed in a press meet at the CPC office by CPC himself, R. Hitendra today (Jan.3)

The 3 arrested Muslim youths were named as Sayyed Sahil (22), Mohammed Rafiq (25) and Sadat Ali (20). The others are absconding, but the city police are confident of nabbing the other members of the gang before long and bust the racket of steeling women’s necklaces from their person in several cities such as Mangalore, Kasargod, Shimogga.

The stolen materials have been recovered by the Pandeshwar police during arrest of 3 gangsters.
