Mangalore : With SSLC examinations commencing from April one onwards, the administration has made all arrangements for the smooth conduct ofthe exams. Exams will be held in a total of 96 centers across the district. A total of 35,061 students including 18060 boys and 17001 girls are appearing for the exams. Of the total students, 31.346 are regular students, 1770 private and 1309 are repeaters.
There are a total of 26 examination centres in Mangalore North Block, 20 in Mangalore South, 15 each in Bantwal and Puttur, 10 in Belthangady, 6 in Sullia and 4 in Moodbidri. Six exam centres in Mangalore North Block are reserved for private candidates from all over the district.
An inter-district vigilance squad comprising seven lecturers is already in the district and will see to it that there are no malpractices. Apart from this, there are two more vigilance squads led by DC and ZP CEO and the DDPI.
