Mangalore: “ Mandd Sobhann” a Konkani musical group at Kalangann, Shaktinagar in city, has invited entries to be considered for the 3rd Global Konkani Music awards. There are 6 awards for 2010 to be given to individuals, as Best singer(male and female), lyricist, music composer, music arranger and music album.

Any Konkani vocal music album released during 2010 for sale anywhere in the world in any Konkani dialect by anyone from any religious or communal denomination, devotional or otherwise, is eligible for consideration upto October 25, last date for accepting such nominations.

here is a title, a cash prize of Rs25,ooo and a felicitation of the winner each in a group at the grand Awards ceremony due to be held on 11-12-2011. A panel of judges will select these winners, strictly on the basis of applications/nominations received, a press note informed on Friday.
