Kasargod :  Four persons were apprehended on the charges of conspiring to loot houses of businessmen in Kasargod district. All the four arrested were those who had recently escaped from the hands of the police when they were intercepted near Kumble.

Those arrested are Ashraf(28) and Kasim (30) of Belthangady, Narayana(25) of Bangalore and Samshuddin of Vittal. Two other accused including one Ammi, the prime accused is said to be absconding.

The police had earlier seized their Scorpio and weapons including swords and  iron rods from the vehicle. The vheilce was found to have been stolen from Sakleshpur.

Police suspect they are involved in several other criminal cases. Of the arrested Samshuddin is a quarry owner while Ashraf and Narayana were quarry workers.
