Mandya: A 19 year old girl named Asha (19) sustained serious injuries after she was pushed off a moving train by a group of miscreants just for resisting their advances towards her. The incident took place near Maddoor railway station on Tuesday.
The girl is the daughter of Siddaraju of Vidyaranyapuram of Mysore and works for the Hinduja Garments in Bangalore. The incident took place when she was returning to Mysore in the Yashwanthpur-Mysore Express. Police have arrested four persons namely Akbar, Ahmed, Shubhan and Imran, said to be Ramnagar residents in connection with the incident.
It is learnt, they pushed Asha out of the train near the bridge near Maddoor station when she strongly resisted their moves.The co passengers who noticed this, thrashed the youth and handed them over to the police.
Asha who was first treated at Maddoor hospital, was later shifted to the district hospital. Police said Asha who has sustained serious injuries on her head, back and limbs, is in a critical state.
