Bantwal: Hungry for power, Sonia congress, dreams of opportunities to get back to power, when it is losing in Delhi by its own acts. In Karnataka if every thing goes well, congress could come to power every ten years with BJP in opposition, as in all other southern states there are 2 groups sharing power every 10 years.
The political movement is towards smaller states, creating more rulers and political structures to hold Vidarbha, Nizami Karnataka and Telengana as new states besides the 4 pieces of residual UP (part of which is in Jharkhand).
At such a history-making juncture, the KPCC organised a 4-day Padayatra from Sampaje to Mani, within a hypothetical Tulunadu covering 4 talukas, leaving out Mangalore coastal areas in a 5th Taluk.
Earlier, the congressmen had walked from Bangalore to Bellary and seen LK Advani’s Jan Chetan yatra on the coastal Karnataka.
At the conclusion of the 4-day Padayatra at Mani, on Nov 25 KPCC vice president and former speaker, BL Shankar of Chikkamagalur lavishly hoped that such a short-distance walk in present CM’s homeland, would catapult his congress party to power in 2014, if BJP allowed, that is to say.
It was a wishful thinking Shankar made that the present Padayatra ending on Friday at Mani, was far-reaching it its implications. It was an effusive hope of the young leader that the model programme was meant purely for the welfare of people at large! Who are they, must be only congressmen.
B.L. Shankar addressed a meeting at Mani in Bantwal Taluk, on concluding the Padayatra primarily undertaken for building better roads in Dakshina kannada district.
He then asked local party men to hold more of such programmes in all constituencies! He dared to predict a downfall of BJP without filling the whole term of 5 years.
Only Congress had completed it
