Bengaluru: The JD(S) on Tuesday decided to constitute four teams that will tour districts, identify local problems and enrol members, to ready the party to face the next Assembly elections.
The newly constituted core committee held its first meeting under the leadership of party supremo H D Deve Gowda.
Addressing the media, JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy said the teams will tour the districts for the next 10 days and submit reports to the committee on December 24.
Kumaraswamy himself will be tour north Karnataka districts, including Belagavi, Bagalkot, Vijayapura and Ballari, where the party aims to bag 30-35 seats.
He said that the members have been given responsibilities in a bid to boost the party’s prospects.
