Mangalore : Four persons including three children who were drowning in the seas at Mogaveerapatna while playing with the waves, were rescued by the life savers  at the spot on May 11, Friday.

The four namely Shahida (45) and her children Ruman (3), Mudasar (9) and a relative Sumera (12) who were rescued  have been hospitalized.

It is learnt, the mishap took place when the family of Rameer of Kavalakatte in Bantwal along with some relatives from Hassan had been to the beach near Ullal Mogaveerapatna to make merry after visiting the Ullal Darga in the morning.

Reports say despite warning from the local life savers, the four continued playing with waves and moved ahead only to get washed away. If not for the life savers, they would have met with a watery grave.

Ullal police have registered a case.
