Mangaluru : Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy announced that 43 automated driving test tracks and automated testing stations will be set up across the state, with the project expected to be completed by the end of 2025. These new facilities are aimed at speeding up the process of issuing driving licenses and fitness certificates.
Speaking at the RTO office in Mangaluru on Wednesday, February 12, Minister Reddy shared, “Some of the automated driving test tracks are already under construction and will be completed soon. The introduction of automated testing stations will enhance efficiency, reduce corruption, and eliminate the need for middlemen.”
Minister Reddy emphasised that the state transport department has placed a request for 3,500 new buses from the government and also the establishment of 3 additional RTOs in the upcoming budget.
