Belthangady : Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala celebrated the 47th vardanthyothsava of the Pattabhisheka of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerandra Heggade, with splendour on Oct 24, Friday.

Dr Heggade was anointed as the 21st Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala on October 24, 1968.

As a part of celebration, special pooja was offered at the temple and all basadis around the Kshetra.

To mark this occasion, Veerendra Heggade announced new schemes for the benefit of people of the Kshetra.

He also assured to install Shuddha Ganga’ units in 365 different places to provide Floride-free pure drinking water to the devotees, under the rural development plan.

Heggade said that grant of Rs 1,000 would be given each for the construction of one lakh toilets in and around the Kshetra. Apart from it, 520 new rooms will be constructed to provide accommodation to visitors.

The temple also felicitated students and senior employees of the Kshetra at programme held at Mahothsava Bhavan.
