Mulky: In regard to an incident of pelting stones and attacking a prayer centre of Pentecostal church in Halengady on Wednesday, the Mulky police detained 5 persons as mischief-mangers and produced them in a local court. The accused persons were youths of 20 to 25 years of age resident in the locality itself.

Sanath, Harish, Pramod, Madhu and Ashwin were arrested as suspects. The other gangsters in a group of 15 are likely to be rounded up soon, the police informed on Friday. They wore masks during attack.

The accused boys had thought that a religious conversion was taking place at the church when they barged in to vandalise. Properties were damaged in their attack inside church premises.
