Bangalore : The longest standing scam in the country doesn’t end up only with the names of the big political guns of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa and Kumaraswamy. The Karnataka Lokayukta reports on the illegal mining issue also reveals the names and designation of 500 officials who has been named in the report.
Lokayukta Chief Santosh Hegde said that the state had a loss of more than 1800 crores. Hegde complained that no action was taken on his interim report. He also claimed that his phone was being tapped following the illegal mining scam, under which Karnataka CM Yedyurappa and former CM Kumaraswamy has been named directly. Hegde claimed that Yeddyurappa has direct links to the trust, through which he (Yeddyurappa) received money.
It was Times Now Channel that first broke the details of mining scam reports on Wednesday 8.30 pm, Jul 20. But, the channel denied to mention the source behind the mining scam report expose. They have decided to keep it confidential.
The government reacted to the report exposure and ordered a probe against the confidential exposure. On other hand, Congress member, Ambika Soni said that all allegations against the Karnataka Chief Minister must be probed.
