Udupi : The District Sessions Court has sent behind for 12 years, six members of a family  for attempting to kill a man and his family out of vengeance.

The incident is learnt to have taken place in 2009. Those who are jailed for their guilt are  Nainesh, Sudarshan, Subhash Nayak, Nalini, his wife, Santosh and  their mother Sunanda Bail. They have been convicted in the case of attempt on the life of one Vincent Pais and his parents.

The case goes as follows. Nainesh in late 2008 had brought a girl from Bangalore and had kept her in his house. The Bangalore police who began investigation into a case of missing, realized that Nainesh was in Brahmavar and located him with the help of Vincent Pais of Brahmavar who co-operated in the investigation. The girl was traced and sent back to Bangalore. However the Nainesh family was angered over Vincent for helping the police and on  January 8, 2009 had barged into the house of Vincent and attacked him. Even Vincent’s parents Lewis and ChristinaPais were attacked.  The three  had to be hospitalized.

Only the father of Nainesh was acquitted in this case.
