Mangaluru: A six-year-old giel child from Chitradurga has become a hero after giving life to five people, after she was announced brain dead by doctors in Mangaluru.
Janahvi T from Chitradurga has turned out to be one of the youngest life giver. Janvi’s heart was transplanted successfully transplanted to a 9-year-old boy from Vishakhapatnam. Her eyes, kidneys and liver were also donated to the poor.
Janahvi had developed a severe stomach ache a month ago and always complained of giddiness. She was taken to a private hospital in Chitradurga first. But the doctor neglected to identify the illness an was taken to another private hospital in Mangaluru. In the wake of directing MRI examine, they found a tumor in her brain. She was then referred to Fr Muller Hospital where she was operated on for nearly 14 hours. In spite of the fact that the tumor was evacuated, the doctor’s informed her parent’s of her least chances of survival.
After the surgery Janhavi was in coma and was declared brain dead.
The healing center staff, including facilitators from Jeevasarthakathe, an administration organization which facilitates organ transplants, went to Janahvi’s parents and requested them to donate her organs to which they agreed.
