Mangalore: Bantwal MLA B Ramanath Rai, BJP has never showed interest for the development for the graduate’s constituency.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on June 4, Monday. He also said that if the congress candidates gain victory, they will establish 15 women’s university. Hence the voters must cast their votes for the candidates who can bring changes.
S P Dinesh, candidate for Congress for the graduate’s constituency for the past 23 years he has been an active member of the Congress, and is confident of winning the legislative council (upper house) elections.
He also said that he will start a district-wise ‘Graduate Bhavana’, in his constituency which could be used as competitive exam training center with free computers and centers for poor and help the youngsters to get jobs through job link. The students can also get the application through online facility from the Bhavan.
He said that from past 30 to 40 years, the teachers are suffering from various problems and not getting proper salary. Both the BJP candidates did not mention any achievement made in their term since they do not have any achievement to explain.
The BJP has not implemented any fund for the schools or colleges for the development unless for the schools and colleges with BJP and RSS background.
Speaking about the JDS candidates, he said that recently JDS candidates have given false statement of the number of votes and graduates. BJP is the only competitor for Congress and no other party, he added.
Legislative Council elections from South West Teachers constituency Hosur Ramesh Joyappa said that state government has contributed nothing to the welfare of the schools and colleges. The programme like Nali Kali was also implemented by Central Government.
MLA UT Khader, Ivan D’Souza, Former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty, Mohideen Bawa, Mithun Rai, Suresh Ballal and TK Sudhir were present.
