Mangalore : Inaugurating the deliberations of the 60th All India Cooperative week, and Speaking on the occasion D.K minister B Ramanatha Rai recalled that he came up in life even as a minister, through the co-operative spear and he owes all his success to the co operative societies in the D.K. district.
He was addressing people in the milk co-operative field at Kulshekar in a function organised on Saturday Nov.16,2013, the 60th annual Celebrations of All India Cooperative week in front of the Nandini Head office.
The joint celebration was sponsored by D.K. Milk Producer’s Union and mother dairy, KMF.
Minister Rai released some new products of Nandini as a part of Co-operative marketing and Consumer’s day, such as Cashew Barfi. He also opened a Micron Compressor Packing unit on the third floor of the KMF building.
Rai stressed on fact that the farmers who had produced milk qualitatively had benefited by increasing prices and quantity on sales, which contributed to their higher standard of living.
Mangalore MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, KMF President Raviraj Hegde, KMF Co-operative union president Diwakar Rai, Marketing Manager Dr. B.V. Satyanarayana, City Corporator Bhashker K and others were present on the dais.
