Mangalore : In connection with the 60th birthday celebrations of Matha Amritanandamayi a Save Beach Campaign will be held at all beaches across the district on September 1. The campaign will be organised by the Matha Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi of Mangalore in association with the Mangalore City Corporation.

Informing this Vaman Kamath, President of the Samithi said volunteers from various organizations will clean up the beaches as part of the campaign. The campaign will begin at 7 am  and beaches at Someshwara, Bengre,Tannirbavi, Panambur, Chitrapur, Hosabettu and Suratkal  will be cleaned up. Several organizations like  the Lions Club, Rotary Club, KCCI and other organizations  supported the campaign.

Ajith Hegde, Commissioner of MCC, Yatish Baikampady, CEO of PBTDP, and others were present.
