Mangalore: The Airports Authority of India, (AAI), AAI Sports Control Board (AAISCB), Indian Red Cross Society and Dakshina Kannada and Nitte University, will be jointly conducting a health check up camp and a blood donation camp at the Ravindra Kala Bhavan of University College on August 19 at 8.45 am to commemorate the Mangalore Airport Diamond Jubilee Celebration.
Speaking to reporters, K Tejomaya, Co-ordinator of Mangalore Airport Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee, said there would be a dental check-up along with a short video clip on dental health and hygiene. There will be an eye-check up and free spectacles will be provided to the needy. There would also be a heart check-up and needy patients will be provided free treatment by the doctors while medicines are sponsored by K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Derelakatte, he informed.
Students belonging to N.S.S., members of various Airport Employee Unions, members of Dakshina Kannada Auto-rickshaw Drivers Union and the general public will be taking part in the blood donation camp, he said.
