Mangalore : K. C. Naik, chairman of STATECON 2012 speaking at the press meet at Hotel Deepa Comfort on August 21, Tuesday said that Confederation of Real Estate and Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) will organize the second Karnataka Level CREDAI Convention – STATECON 2012 on August 25 at TMA Pai International Convention Centre.
He also said that CM Jagadish Shettar will inaugurate the convention at 9:00 a.m. on August 25, he said, adding that K. S. Eshwarappa, deputy chief minister, will inaugurate the 2-day real estate exhibition. S. Suresh Kumar, minister for housing and urban development, will be the chief guest and Lalith Kumar Jain, national president of CREDAI, will preside. C. T. Ravi, district-in-charge minister for DK; Gulzar Banu, mayor of MCC; MP Nalin Kumar Kateel; MLA J. Krishna Palemar; and MLC Ganesh Karnik will be the guests of honor.
He said that one of the objectives of STATECON 2012 is to discuss the code of conduct so that discipline can be brought into the building industry. The topic to discuss for the Panel discussion are ‘Affordable housing- To provide quality housing at affordable prices’, ‘Green sustainable Development- Only Way Forward’, ‘Skill Development- o convert unskilled labour and improve their efficiency’ and ‘Single Winjdow Clearance- To address the issue of the industry suffering from undue delays in getting project clearance’.
Speaking on the occasion, P. M. A. Razak, president of CREDAI, Mangalore, said that the convention will also discuss ways to provide homes not only for mid and high income families, but also for economically backward sections of society.He also said that well known speakers on Green Housing, Affordable housing and various other issues related to the Real Estate and Development of Housing will be heading the Panels. Duribng the convention, the Australian Trade Commission will make a special presentation on pre-fabricated apartments to complete huge projects within time abiding by the green housing and Affordable housing concepts initiated by the Government.The exhibition will have 46 stalls by 42 buildres and other industries across the state. Around 1500 delegates are expected to participate in the event.Apart from the builders, engineers, architects and the students from the engineering and architecture sector will also attend the convention to learn more about the modern building industry.
The valedictory ceremony will be held on August 26 at 4:30 p.m. Kamal Nath, minister for urban development, will be the chief guest and Lalith Kumar Jain will preside. Oscar Fernandes, general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC); M. Veerappa Moily, minister for corporate affairs; N. Yogish Bhat, deputy speaker of the legislative assembly; MLA U. T. Khader; and MLC Monappa Bhandary will be the guests of honor.
CREDAI Secretary Pushparaj Jain, Treasurer Felix Albuquerque and Rohan Monteiro were also present.
