Mangalore : District in charge minister C T Ravi said that during AICC President Sonia Gandhi’s visit to city, she has not put forth any development schemes to the state as well as city from the UPA government.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Circuit House on Oct 23, Tuesday. Flaying AICC President Sonia Gandhi’s statement during Congress Convention held at Nehru Maidan on Oct 18 , he said that Sonia Gandhi said about the UPA Government being given Rs 80,000 crore and demanded the transaction of the its developmental work. It is the duty of CAG to ask details and not her work.
Speaking about Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, he said that he had given a statement earlier that cheating the party is like cheating one’s own mother and he will be not ready to do it and in case he does, then he will have to recall his journey from being a party worker to becoming a party leader. I am confident that Yeddyurappa will not quit the party, he said.
He said that her speech was an attempt to hide UPA’s blunder. The fund given was not Congress’ property, but it was the money of tax payer’s which was received from Centre in a Federal set up.
He also said that the state is ready to give the transactions of spending and in turn let they reveal the transaction of black money stocked in Swiss banks. Congress leaders had promised to bring back the black money back to the country within 100 days during Lok Sabha elections, but even after completing 1,200 days, it has not come back.
Commenting on Sonia’s statement on increasing number of cylinder and reduced tax on diesel, he said that it was UPA government who had limited the number of cylinders to six in the first place.
