Mangalore: In a press statement issued on the occasion of Christmas festival and new year celebrations 2014 Kavita Trust president Melvyn Rodrigues announced various prizes for school children’s in All India Konkani Poetry Competition held in Dec.2013 and added that the prizes would be distribute on Jan.12, 2014.

172 entries from Goa and DK Konkani schools were received from Konkani children for compitalions arranged by Kavitha Trust in city.

The first prize in Konkani writing competition has been awarded to a Goan girl, Vaibhavi Bhalchandra Gawas to the tune of Rs.2000 with memento.

On Jan.12 four award winners will be receiving cash prizes of 2000, 1000, and Rs.500 each for joint winners, from Rehamath Tarikere a critic of literature on the occasion of 8th Kavitha Trust day celebrations.
