Bantwal : A 8 year-old child labour rescued from government servants house at Ajjibettu, near BC Road here on Saturday August 31.
Officials of the child helpline, Education department, Labour department with the help of police took the operation at house of Kadri police constable Eru Nayak and a village accountant Jyothi Bai of Bantwal taluk.
According to the information on child helpline intended the officials of the other departments jointly raided the house of government servants near B.C. Road.
Eru Nayak and Jyothi Bai hired the girl from Bellary district to make home work.
Doctors of Bantwal hospital confirmed her age in between 8 and 10 years.
Child labour officers registered a case according to the child’s statement.
Renny D’Souza, Child helpline director, Prasanna Kumar, labour commissioner, Sheshashayana Acharya, Block education officer, Flavia of the education department and others participated on the raid operation.
