Udupi : Krish V Bangera, a third standard student of GM Vidyaniketan Public School  was killed and 18 others injured when their school van  met with an accident near Doopadakatte in Brahmavar on June 4, Monday. The mishap took place when the school van collided head on with a private bus on way to Mumbai.

The deceased is the son   Vasant and Geeta Bangera of Kodavoor, Udupi. The condition of five of the injured students is said to be critical.

Brahmavar police are investigating.
