Mangalore: A Blood donation camp was organized by the Mangalore Airport Diamond Jubilee Committee and Nitte University at Ravindra Kalabhavana of University College in Mangalore on August 20, Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, MRPL Managing Director P P Upadhya said MRPL would extend all assistance for the construction of a new building for Ladygoschen Hospital in Mangalore. He said Rs 21 crore would be provided for the new building. He also spoke about the blood bank proposal at Ladygoschen Hospital.

K.S Hegde Medical Academy Dean Dr.Sathish Bhandary,MRPL G.M Lakshminarayana, Airport Director M R Vasudeva,Airport Diamond Jubilee  Committee Convenor Tejomaya,Shravan Kumar, former KCCI President and G.G. Mohandas Prabhu were present. Nearly  80 people donated blood on the occasion.
