Mangalore : Nine year old Nadeem was electrocuted when he came into contact with a high voltage transformer in the premises of his residence at Marnamikatta on May 25, Saturday.

Nadeem was playing in the area and had climbed the grill covering of the transformer and touched the transformer resulting in his death. It is learnt though there were protective grills the transformer was within an arm’s distance.

Nadeem’s father Abdul Sattar  was the owner of the Husna Mansion Flats in which they were living.

 Tragically, the boy’s hand was stuck in the transformer while his body fell onto the ground. The hand was later removed by the MESCOM staff.

Pandeshwar police have registered a case.
