Bangalore:  State Minister for Primary and High school Education Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri has said 90 per cent of the text books required by schools have already been supplied by the government while the remaining text books would be supplied this week.

Kageri also informed that the process of appointing 3404 teachers to various high schools and 1764 lecturers to pre-university colleges will be complete in August.

He said a total of 2.25 lakh applications had been received for the post of high school teachers and added competitive exams will be held for recruitment from June 23 to 26. He said a total of 95,000 applications were received for the post of lecturers and added the exams will be held from June 12 to 21.
