Mangalore : Freedom fighter and senior author Kayyara Kinyanna Rai’s 99th Birth anniversary will be celebrated at Kavitha Kuteeera, Peradala of Badiadka on June 8 at 10 am.

Addressing the press meet held at Press Club on June 5, Wednesday Shivaram Kasargod  of Karavali Samskrithika Prathistana, Kasargod said that Kayyara Kinyanna Rai was personality who had implemented Mahajan commission report for the final solution of Karnataka border problem.

He also said that the 99th birth celebration and the centenary year celebration will be inaugurated by Kannada protagonist Vatal Nagaraj, while Former Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Hariskrishna Punaroor will preside over the event

The event will be jointly organized by Karavali Samskrithika Prathistana, Kasargod and Nadoja Kayyara Kinyanna Rai 99 felicitation committee.

Former union minister B Janardhana Poojary, State union minister Vinay Kumar Soarake, U T Khade, B Ramanath Rai, Abhaychandra Jain and others will participate in the event.

Felicitation committee honorary president Harikrishna Punaroor, Madhukar Rai, M J Rao, Bhuvan Prasad Hegde were present at the press meet.
