Mangalore:  A man identified as Muralidhar (60) from Kanhangad lost his life when he slipped and fell into an open drain near Amantran Hotel at Attavar on July 8, Monday.

Police said the mishap took place when Muralidhar had been near the drain to urinate. It is said he was under the influence of alcohol when the incident took place.

This is the second time that a man met a watery grave at this spot. Two years ago, a person from Bangalore had died at this spot.
