Bantwal :  Milan Shetty (19), son of Vasanthi, member of Pudu Gram Panchayat lost his life when he was electrocuted after he came into contact with a live wire that was dangling near Farangipete on July 10, Wednesday morning.

The mishap took place when Milan had taken a cow to graze near his house. He had completed his engineering course and was searching for a job and even got a call from a well-known Bangalore company recently.

The locals alleged that the MESCOM despite being intimated of the problem arising out of the dangling cables had failed to take action. Angry locals even had planned to take to task the MESCOM junior engineer who arrived at the spot, but were prevented by the cops.

A cow too had been electrocuted at the same place. A case has been registered.
