Manipal :  The 16 Slice Big Bore CT machine at the Shirdi Sai Baba Cancer Centre at KMC Hospital, Manipal was inaugurated by Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader on July 14, Sunday. KMC Hospital, Manipal is the second hospital in the state to have such ultra-modern machinery.

 The machinery covers a large area in a short time to avoid inconvenience to the patient and also does a fast scanning and facilitates CT Angiography and other CT procedures.

Speaking on the occasion, Khader regretted that ethics has eroded in the society and urged educational institutions to teach  students to uphold ethics and morality.  One  should have the interest of society uppermost in mind rather than personal interests.He also revealed that he had received over 1500 letters seeking transfers in the health department.
