Mangalore : Shri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt will start a ‘Harmony Yathra’ in order to unite and create awareness among Hindus from Kanwa Theertha, in Udupi on October 6, Wednesday, said Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President of Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahithya Parishath.
Speaking at the press meet at Sharada Vidyalaya on October 5, Tuesday he said that the campaign will begin in the city through Jeppinamogeru on October 8, Friday at 9:00 am.
The Yatra will come to Jeppinamogeru Dwara and further visit to Brahmashree Naraya Guru Mandir, Kambirsthana Daivasthana and other temples, he said.
Bridging unity among Hindus is also one of the purposes of the Yathra, he added.
He also said that Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji would also visit to Dalit colonies with an intention to nurture cordial relationship among the members of different castes and religions and also promote unity among Hindus.
MB Puranik, Vishwa Hindu Parishath leader and office bearers of Pejawar Mutt seer Harmony Yathra Committee were present.
