Mangalore : Students from various colleges of Mangalore under the auspices of ABVP formed a human chain at Basaveshwara Circle on NH 64 and protested against those private professional colleges which were charging higher fees from students.

Speaking on the occasion, State ABVP Secretary Ramesh K demanded strict action against those colleges which were collecting higher than the prescribed fees. He was also critical of the state government moves to hike medical and engineering course fees as against its earlier promise not to hike the fees.

Several ABVP leaders and members including Yatish Kumar P, City Unit Secretary of ABVP, Hithesh, Assistant Secretary took part in the protest.
