Mangalore : The 11th annual Aatidonji Dina programme organised by the  Yuva Vahini and Billawa Samaja Seva Sangha was held at Mulki Samaja Seva Bhavan on July 21, Sunday.

V adhiraj Upadhyaya, scholar inaugurated the programme and stressed the need for the present generation to understand the significance of Aati.

A family of five generations was felicitated on the occasion. They are Shravya (3), Saritha (27), Pushpa (48), Sharadha (74), and Rukku (94).

Jaya C Suvarna, President of Billawa Mahamandala was honored by K Abhayachandra Jain, MLA and state minister for youth affairs and sports. Yadesh Amin Kokarekallu, Billawa Samaj Seva Sangha President,  Prakash Suvarna,Yuvavahini President, and several others were present.

 A comedy show  Kusadachoncel by comedy star Aravind Bolar and team entertained the gathering.There were variety of cultural programmes.

 The guests were served Aati delicacies like ‘Arepudadde’ ‘Happala’, ‘Kadle’, ‘Santhani’, ‘Kerenguda Pulu,’ Timarre’ chutney ‘Pelakaida Garya’, and ‘Methede Ganjji.’ Over 2500 people attended the programme.
