Mangalore : A Pratibha Puraskar for children of D Group workers was held at NGO Hall in Mangalore on July 21, Sunday under the aegis of the District Group D Workers Association.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader inaugurated the programme.

In his address, Khader criticized the previous BJP government programmes of distributing bicycles and said instead health insurance for all should be provided.

Khader distributed financial aid to meritorious children of Group D Workers and also aid for medical expenses to some D Group workers.

MLA JR Lobo, Narasimhamurthi, General Secretary of Group D Workers’ Association and others were present.
