Mangalore : One person named Taranath was arrested  during the raid by the tahsildar and Mangalore rural police on an illegal gas refilling unit  at Garodi here on July 26, Friday.

It is learnt, the man was selling the refilled cylinders at prices lower than market value.

Among the seized goods include 16 cylinders of 15.6 kg and 14.2 kg, 22 cylinders of 5 kg,  weighing scales, HP motors and empty cylinders belonging to Indane Gas and Bharat Gas Companies.

The tahsildar who led the raiding team said the arrested man had almost 13 LPG connection pass books.
