Mangalore : Municipal works of MCC have staged a protest in front of MCC office at Lalbagh on July 27, Saturday seeking regularization of services.

K Suresh, General Secretary of Municipal Workers Union said there were around 125 municipal works in MCC. He said the MCC was not regularizing the services of Municipal workers though nearly 170 posts were vacant.

 He said the M MCC has not heeded to the demands of the workers since 20 years. There are some workers who have been working for as long as 23 years and still not regularized.

The agitators also submitted a memorandum to MCC Commissioner seeking to fulfill their demand.
