Mangalore : The Konkani Kutam, Bahrain  presented its annual Konkani Kutam Award to  renowned Konkani actor and director Avitas Adolphus Cutinha at the St Sebastian Hall, Bendore on July 28, Sunday. Avitas Cutinha is well-known as Dolla, Mangalore. He received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 a citation and memento as part of the award.

JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South,  CGS Taccode, Noted Konkani writer and Fr Dennis D’Souza, Public Relations Officer of Udupi Diocese were present as chief guests.

Avitas Adolphus Cutinha who spoke after receiving the award said he was grateful to Konkani Kutam for conferring the award on him. He also spoke on his life and his evolution as an artiste and thanked all those who helped him achieve something in life.
